Overview of 11x11x vs traditional sales tools

11x as a replacement for traditional sales tools

What 11x replaces in a typical GTM stack, what it sits alongside, and what stays. A tool-by-tool breakdown for teams consolidating their sales tooling.

11x most often replaces the sequencing layer, contact database, deliverability tooling, research tools, and inbound point solutions in a GTM stack. It does not replace your CRM — that stays the system of record, and 11x reads from and writes to it continuously. The consolidation is real but partial, so map it deliberately rather than assuming a like-for-like swap.

Who this applies to: teams evaluating 11x against existing tooling, or planning a stack consolidation. For a head-to-head against a named competitor, see the 11x comparison pages.

What 11x replaces, sits alongside, and never touches

LayerStatusWhy
CRMStaysSystem of record. 11x reads ownership and opportunity state, writes every interaction back.
Sales engagement / sequencerReplacedSequences run autonomously with reply handling and lead handoff, rather than executing sequences you build.
Contact / lead databaseReplacedReal-time database of 400M+ verified B2B contacts, plus live web search.
Email deliverability & warm-up toolingReplacedManaged mailboxes, domain setup, warm-up, inbox rotation, and monitoring are included.
Prospect research toolsReplacedDeep Research parses documents and analyzes news per prospect.
Inbound chat / speed-to-lead point solutionsReplacedJulian handles chat, phone, SMS, and WhatsApp with sub-60-second response.
Lead routingEitherJulian can route directly, or hand off to an existing router like ChiliPiper.

Where the model actually differs

The replacement isn't feature-for-feature. It's a different division of labour.

The distinction that matters for evaluation: a sequencer makes a rep faster at sending. A digital worker removes the rep from the sending path so they only appear at the conversation. If you evaluate 11x on sending features, you'll measure the wrong thing.

What consolidation looks like in practice

Inventory what each tool actually does for you

Separate the tool from the job. Several tools in a typical stack overlap on research and data, and the overlap is where consolidation savings sit.

Keep the CRM decision separate

Nothing here changes your CRM. Don't bundle a CRM migration into this evaluation.

Run in parallel before cutting over

Keep the incumbent sequencer running while you validate 11x on one ICP segment. Cutting over before you've tuned the knowledge base and ICP is how deployments get judged prematurely.

Watch for contract timing

Sequencer and database contracts are usually annual. Consolidation savings only land at renewal, so line the timing up.

Reassign the freed-up work, don't just remove it

Reps whose list-building and research time is freed need somewhere for that time to go, or the productivity gain evaporates.

Cost comparison worth running

When comparing total cost, count the things that are usually invisible in a per-seat price:

  • Mailbox infrastructure — domains, mailboxes, warm-up tooling, rotation, monitoring
  • Data — contact database seats and enrichment credits
  • Research — either tooling, or rep hours
  • Deliverability incidents — the cost of a damaged domain is weeks of reduced pipeline
  • Rep time on non-selling work — list-building, research, manual CRM logging
  • Integration and maintenance — keeping several tools synced to the CRM

Because 11x is priced per prospect rather than per send, adding channels or lengthening cadences doesn't change the bill — which changes how the comparison works against per-seat or per-send tooling.
